NATE BURLESON HAS STYLE
You may or may not know
this – but Nate Burleson knows how to dress.
He maybe should have been an NBA guy since they seem to have a corner on
that sort of thing. The man has style.
This is why they are always
shoving Nate in front of the people with the microphones (or, in the case of
SH5, the fake microphones). The “why” is
not the part where he’s a good dresser, but the part where he’s got style. You see, he’s got style past his
clothes. He knows how to present himself
is what I’m trying to say.
Take Super High Five, for example.
These dudes show up to his practice, clearly out of their league, and he
rolls with it. Then, when our teenage
hero Sanders takes over the interview, Nate presents the best and easiest
explanation you’ll ever hear about what it takes to catch a football (SPOILER
ALERT: it has to do with your eyes…although this should not be mistaken with
the way I tried to catch a pass with my face in episode one).
I actually think this style
thing is connected to why he’s a good receiver.
To be a good spokesman you’ve gotta be able to concentrate. Make eye contact. Keep cool.
Sounds like a lot of the advice he gave us.
One last thing – style shouldn’t
be confused with conceit. You don’t have
to be full of yourself to be cool and collected on the field. If you don’t know what I’m talking about,
just watch Nate in action.
COMING SOON: STEVE GETS A MAKE-OVER. JOEL BUYS NEW SOCKS. NATE JUST SHAKES HIS HEAD.

EPISODE NUMERO UNO: LET IT FLY! STARRING MATTHEW STAFFORD
What the heck is Super High Five? Partly, it's these dudes that manage to get into the Lions' practice facility and interview their top players. Have you see the one where Joel tries to catch a Matthew Stafford pass with his face?
You can see the entire first episode at www.detroitlions.com here.
Or you can just watch the interview portion of the episode.

Own a Piece of Nate Burleson!
Or at least a terrific poster of him! Spend a few minutes gazing upon his magnificence, then run outside and be magnificent yourself! Posters of Nate and his teammates Matthew Stafford, Jason Hanson and Calvin Johnson are also available, at the Super High Five Store.
Sales of the posters
support charity (The Detroit Lions Foundation). If you are a kid, you need a parent to do this – we don’t want to
get any phone calls saying, “Tommy went through my purse, blah blah blah…” –
got it?
